Continuing Education

Family Home Care partners with the Institute for Professional Care Education, an online database of qualified courses. All new hires who work in Washington state or who have a Washington license that requires continuing education will be automatically enrolled into IPCed upon hire. To help pay for the service, employees will see $1.75 deducted from their paycheck per pay period. This is a huge cost savings in comparison to seeking external continuing education. However, you can opt out if you would like by completing the opt in/opt out form on the employee portal. If you chose to opt out, it will be in effect for 1 year. Non-Washington licensed employees can still gain access to IPCed by completing the opt-in form.

CE requirements:

Washington State requires 12 CE units by your date of birth every year for any NAR/NAC/HCA working in Home Care, AFH, or ALF.  If you do not meet the requirements by your birthday, your schedule will be cleared until CE’s are completed so that we stay compliant with State Regulations.
